The AgriBusiness Forum 2010 will approach the current food security issue as an opportunity to boost the African agro-food sector, attract investors to the continent and create new local and international business partnerships.

“Food security is a global concern that requires global input if we are to find sustainable long-term solutions. Traditionally we have had strong African and European representation at our Forums, we’d like to boost the number of American attendees at this year’s event. Many regions across Africa provide the ideal environment for successful food production, we’d like to present the myriad of knowledge-sharing, export and investment opportunities to a broader audience so we can drive strong and stable global partnerships for Africa’s growth.” Idit Miller, Vice-President & Managing Director, EMRC.

Over the 4 days of the Forum, the shores of Lake Victoria will buzz as delegates attending the conference put their heads together and discuss the role of the private sector in improving global food access and sustainable agricultural development, increasing agricultural productivity, organised agriculture, biofuels, pre and post-harvest intervention, commodities, inputs, R&D, private sector growth and investment.
