Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Mourns the Death of Former President of the Republic of Algeria Chadli Bendjedid at Algerian Ambassador’s Residence

 

BEIJING, China, October 22, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ On October 16, 2012, Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun mourned the death of former president of the Republic of Algeria Chadli Bendjedid who died of disease at Algerian Ambassador’s residence. Zhai, on behalf of the Chinese government, expressed profound condolences over the passing of Chadli Bendjedid and asked Algerian Ambassador to China Hassane Rabehi to convey China’s cordial sympathy to the Algerian government, people and Chadli Bendjedid’s relatives. Ambassador Hassane Rabehi thanked Zhai for coming to offer condolences on behalf of the Chinese government and reaffirmed the Algerian side is willing to work with China to continue to push forward the bilateral strategic and cooperative ties.
