Announcement of Libya’s liberation marks a turning point

 

ROME, Italy, October 24, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The announcement of the liberation of Libya marks a turning point in the country’s history and a victory for the Libyan people. In the light of our robust historic tradition of friendship and cooperation with the Libyan people, Italy is confident that the transitional authorities called upon to govern Libya will steer the country towards a new page in its political history. A new page where all elements of Libyan society can see their aspirations reflected in solid and representative democratic institutions.
