Japan / Donation of Relief Money from the Republic of Congo
TOKYO, Japan, April 22, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ –In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, the Government of the Republic of Congo announced that it will donate 500,000 US dollars (approximately 40 million yen) as relief money for Japan.
From the Republic of Congo, words and letters of sympathy were sent from H.E. Mr. Denis SASSOU NGUESSO, President of the Republic of Congo, H.E. Mr. Basil IKOUEBE, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and others.
The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the Government and people of the Republic of Congo for their expression of solidarity and generous assistance.
