Director General of BADEA tours two East African countries

 
 

KARTHOUM, Sudan, July 11, 2010/African Press Organization (APO)/ — H.E. Mr. Abdelaziz KHELEF, Director General of Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), plans to launch a visit to TWO of East African Countries starting from 19 July until 24 July 2010. The East African countries are namely: Kenya and Uganda.

 
 

The agenda of the Director General with high-ranking officials in the said African countries will focus on:-

 
 

•    Signing two loan agreements worth US $ 20 million for Kenya and Uganda.

 
 

•    Current and future operations and programmes with BADEA.

 
 

•    Informal assessment of impact and satisfaction with BADEA’s interventions in the respective countries.

 
 

•    Explore ways and means of promoting and developing responsive and effective cooperation strategies with partner countries.

 
 

 
 

The Director General will meet with Ministers of Finance and Ministers of relevant Ministries involved directly with BADEA’s activities in the respective countries.

 
 

 
 

It worth-noting that the collective total commitments of BADEA towards these two countries reached US $ 231.80 million at end of June 2010 utilized for financing 52 development operations for Kenya and Uganda.
