Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi Meets with Equatorial Guinea’s Foreign Minister Micha

 

 

BEIJING, China, July 2, 2010/African Press Organization (APO)/ — On June 29, 2010, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met in the Foreign Ministry with Equatorial Guinea’s Foreign Minister Pastor Micha Ondo Bile, who was here to inspect his country’s exhibition arrangements at the Shanghai World Expo.

Yang said that since the establishment of diplomatic ties 40 years ago, both sides have maintained frequent exchanges at all levels, increasing political trust and close communication and cooperation in major international and regional issues. The cooperation between both sides has made new progress continuously in all areas and their bilateral relations have shown a sound momentum of rapid and all-round development. China is ready to take the opportunity of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties and work with Equatorial Guinea to lift bilateral ties to a new level. Yang also wished Equatorial Guinea’s National Pavilion Day at the Expo a success.

Micha spoke highly of the achievements in bilateral ties and thanked for China’s help with Equatorial Guinea’s national construction as well as its support in international affairs. He said Equatorial Guinea attaches importance to developing friendly cooperative relations with China and is ready to work with the country to push forward bilateral ties.
