AU commission Chairperson receives credentials of three Ambassadors

 

 

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, October 9, 2009/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, His Excellency Mr. Jean Ping, today received letters of credence from three newly appointed Ambassadors to the African Union at different ceremonies in his office at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa,

 

 

The Chairperson first received the Credential Letters of Ambassador H. E Mr Albert Mudenda Muchanga as the new representative of the Republic of Zambia to the African Union.

 

During the audience, Mr. Jean Ping highlighted the close fruitful relationship between the African Union and Zambia.

 

Ambassador Albert Mudenda Muchanga on his part delivered a message of congratulations from the President of the Republic of Zambia, while reiterating his country’s commitment to double efforts in advancing the integration process.

 

 

Later, the Chairperson received the Credential Letters of H. E Mr Leo Olasvirta as the new representative of the Republic of Finland to the African Union.

 

During the meeting, Mr. Ping recalled the key role played by Finland in Africa especially during the colonisation period.

 

Ambassador Leo Olasvirta on his part congratulated the African Union for its important role in Peace and security operations. 

 

 

 

 

The Chairperson also received in his office at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, the Credential Letters of Ambassador H. E Mr Joseph Nsengimana as the new representative of the Republic of Rwanda to the African Union.

 

During the audience, Mr. Jean Ping highlighted that Rwanda commands respect within the international community and in Africa specially.

 

 

Ambassador H.E Mr. Joseph Nsengimana on his part delivered the message of congratulations by the President of Rwanda, while reiterating his country’s commitment to double efforts in advancing the integration process and the activities of the African Union.
