Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The Quality Assurance and Results Department (ORQR) is responsible for coordinating Bank-wide implementation of the agenda to improve quality and strengthen the focus on development results in operations, strategies and reporting systems. The ORQR Department consists of three divisions: i) Quality Assurance; ii) Results Reporting; and iii) Safeguards Compliance. Within ORQR, the incumbent will be assigned to the Results Reporting Division, where he/she will lead work within the team on integrating results reporting into management information systems and enhancing the focus on results during supervision and completion. The incumbent will take responsibility for specific and selected duties described below

 

1. Manages cross-complex efforts to develop templates and design user-friendly interfaces to include reporting on results in the Bank’s management information systems at all phases of the project cycle;

2. Coordinates cross-departmental teams to develop standard output and outcome indicators for key sector operations;

3. Develops user-friendly, web-based database on the outputs and outcomes of Bank operations;

4. Contributes to results reporting related to the Bank’s medium-term strategy and ADE replenishment cycle;

5. Contributes to analysis, advocacy and advice to task teams on timely closure and restructuring of operations:

6. Coordinates Bank response to joint evaluation exercises by multilateral development banks (e.g. COMPAS);

7. Represents the department in international fora devoted to results reporting systems, statistical indicators and capacity building;

8. Develops and delivers training modules on results reporting in information systems; Coaches/mentors other staff to strengthen understanding of information systems for results reporting;

9. Trains and supports departmental staff on information systems use and associated data analysis.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum of a Masters degree (or its university equivalent) in Information Technology, Management, Economics, Statistics or related field,

•    Preferably a minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in information systems design and management, portfolio management, monitoring and evaluation, results-based methodologies or related.

•    Preferably strong experience in use of Bank information systems and analysis of Bank portfolio data.

•    Proven ability to manage databases and to process large portfolio information,

•    Possession of team leadership, training and coaching skills, with a proven track record of working with teams and creating an empowering and creative work environment.

•    Ability to communicate and write effectively in English and/or French, with a good working knowledge of the other language.

•    Proficiency in the use of Bank standard software Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
