PARIS, France, November 11, 2008/African Press Organization (APO)/ — What Martin Luther King’s siblings have to say


Martin Luther King III and Rev. Bernice KING will be in Paris on November 14 and 15, 2008, to attend the Golden Jubilee Celebration (50 years) of “Africa International”, the longest established international magazine focusing on Africa. The heirs to the visionary “Dream” will give two anticipated spechees and highlight the significance of BARACK OBAMA’s election for the USA and for the world.


The event program, dedicated to “The Pioneer Spirit”, includes a special tribute to African-American writers and artists who lived in Paris in the Fifties, such as James Baldwin, Chet Baker, Langston Hughes, Richard Wright, Sidney Bechet, Josephine Baker… with exclusive testimonies and the active participation of close parents.

Daniel Bechet, son of Sidney, Julia Wright, daughter of Richard, Brian Baker, son of Josephine Baker, are expected to attend.
