The APO takes part in the launching of the High-Level Panel Report on the AfDB

Answering the invitation of the President of the Group of the African Development Bank, Donald KABERUKA, the Secretary-General of the African Press Organization, Nicolas POMPIGNE-MOGNARD, will stay in Tunis (Tunisia), January 21-23, where it will take part in the launching of the Independent High-Level Panel Report on the AfDB in the 21^st Century.

The AfDB High Level Panel was established by President Donald Kaberuka as an independent advisory body to provide recommendations on the AfDB’s strategic vision and on the operational strategies needed in the medium to long term.  

The independent panel joins together in particular, Joachim Chissano, former President of Mozambique, Paul Martin, former Canadian Prime Minister, Soumaila Cissé, President of the Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), Poul Nielson, former European Commissioner for development and humanitarian aid, Judith Rodin, President of the Rockefeller Foundation, Jean-Michel Severino, CEO of the French Development Agency (AFD), and the Nobel Laureate in Economics Joseph Stiglitz.

Répondant à l’invitation du Président du Groupe de la Banque Africaine de Développement, Donald KABERUKA, le Secrétaire-Général de l’Organisation de la Presse Africaine, Nicolas POMPIGNE-MOGNARD, séjournera à Tunis (Tunisie) du 21 au 23 janvier, où il participera au lancement du rapport indépendant d’un panel de haut niveau sur la Bad au XXI^e siècle.

Le panel de haut niveau de la Bad a été établi par le président Donald Kaberuka en tant qu’organe consultatif indépendant chargé de formuler des recommandations sur la vision stratégique de la BAD et les stratégies opérationnelles nécessaires à sa réalisation à moyen et long terme.

Le panel indépendant réunit notamment, Joachim Chissano, ancien président du Mozambique, Paul Martin, ancien Premier Ministre canadien, Soumaila Cissé, Président de la Commission de l’Union économique et monétaire ouest-africaine (UEMOA), Poul Nielson, ancien commissaire européen pour le développement et l’aide humanitaire, Judith Rodin, présidente de la fondation Rockefeller, Jean-Michel Severino, directeur général de l’Agence française de développement (AFD), ou le Prix Nobel d’économie Joseph Stiglitz.
