Statement by the Press Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, on the Adoption of the Provisional Constitution in Somalia
TOKYO, Japan, August 3, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ — Japan welcomes the adoption of the Provisional Constitution of Somalia by the National Constituent Assembly of Somalia on August 1, 2012, as an important step towards the creation of a new Somali government.
Japan strongly hopes that all stakeholders in Somalia will continue to advance political process, in a spirit of cooperation, towards the establishment of a new unified government.
