Canada / Minister of State Valcourt meets with Abdou Diouf, Secretary General of La Francophonie
OTTAWA, Canada, June 28, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The Honourable Bernard Valcourt, Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency) (La Francophonie), meets with Abdou Diouf, Secretary General of La Francophonie. The two men discussed the Minister’s visits to Côte d’Ivoire and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and the progress needed in the DRC in the areas of human rights, democracy and good governance, in view of the upcoming 14th Francophonie Summit in Kinshasa, from October 12 to 14.
