Football Tournament
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, May 23, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ — INVITATION TO REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEDIA
The African Union Commission (AUC) and The UK’s Permanent Representation to the African Union/British Embassy have organised a football tournament between teams representing the African Union Commission, African Embassies in Addis Ababa, the Economic Commission for Africa, African Union Partner Countries’ Embassies and the UK’s Permanent Representation to the African Union/British Embassy.
The objective of the football tournament is to celebrate and publicise the Olympic Truce, as we approach the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The football tournament starts on Friday 25 May at 3PM, at the new AU Conference Center. The second round will be held on Friday 01June 2012 while the finally game will be on 8 June 2012.
