Italy / Training: Mozambican officials in Orvieto for training on customs and border controls
ROME, Italy, October 28, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ — A three-week course for 20 customs and border control officials from Mozambique has been conducted at the Finance Police Training and Specialisation Centre in Orvieto. The course was financed by the Foreign Ministry, using funding under the “Missions Decree” for 2011, and cost 41,000 euros in all.
During the award ceremony, the officials receiving their diplomas expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the opportunities Italy has given them. They hoped that this experience would enable them to strengthen and build upon the excellent relations between Italy and Mozambique.
The course was further confirmation of the importance of the courses provided by the Orvieto Centre, both for beneficiaries and for bilateral relations between the countries involved. It is important, too, in fostering international security in the broader sense.
