
Japan / Donation of Relief Money from the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt
TOKYO, Japan, September 29, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ — In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt made a donation of 693,550 Egyptian pounds (approximately 11 million yen) as relief money for Japan.
From Egypt, letters and messages of sympathy and encouragement were sent from Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, Chief of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces and others at various levels including H.E. Dr. Issam Sharaf, Prime Minister.
The Government of Japan deeply appreciates assistance extended by the Government of Egypt and its people.
