
Joint press conference on Africa-India partnership
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, May 25, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ — Journalists are invited to take part at a joint Press Conference scheduled to take place tomorrow, Wednesday 25 May 2011 at 12:15 noon, in Committee Room 1 of the African Union Conference building.
The Joint Press Conference will focus on the outcome of the Second Africa-India Forum Summit (AIFS II) holding from 20-25 May 2011, at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The press conference will be addressed by the following personalities:
1. Mr. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, Chairperson of the African Union (AU), President of Equatorial Guinea;
2. Dr. Jean Ping, Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC); and
3. Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of The Republic of India.
Worth recalling that, the Second Africa-Indian Summit Forum falls within the framework of Africa – India partnership. It is a follow-up to the first Africa-India Summit Forum which took place in New Delhi from 4 to 9 April 2008, during which the New Delhi Declaration and Framework for Co-operation were adopted.
