Statement attributable to the Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General / Bombing in Marrakech, Morocco
NEW YORK, April 29, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The Secretary-General is appalled by today’s bombing in Marrakech which killed and injured Moroccans and foreign nationals. He reiterates his firm rejection of the use of indiscriminate violence against innocent civilians and maintains that no political objective justifies or is served by such heinous acts. The Secretary-General extends his deepest sympathies and solidarity to the Governments and people of Morocco and those of other nations whose citizens are among the victims.
