
World Bank President Zoellick Speaks on the Middle East and North Africa: A New Social Contract for Development
WASHINGTON, March 31, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ — Turmoil in the Middle East has rattled financial markets, caused a spike in oil prices and cast a shadow over the regional and global economy. On April 6, Robert B. Zoellick, President of the World Bank, will discuss the lessons from the instability for the region, for the world, and for development institutions. This will be Mr. Zoellick’s major presentation prior to this year’s spring meetings of the World Bank and the IMF. He will take questions following the speech.
