Readout of the UN Secretary-General’s meeting with the President of Rwanda
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, January 31, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The Secretary-General met with H. E. Mr. Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Secretary-General welcomed the collaboration between neighbouring states to bring an end to violence in the region.
The Secretary-General and the President also discussed and agreed on the need for effective measures to bring an end to gender-based violence in conflict situations.
