Faculty discusses Doha outcomes in Zalingei
UNAMID facilitated yesterday a workshop on the dissemination of the Doha outcomes on the Darfur peace talks at the Center for Peace and Development Studies of the University of Zalingei. The event was attended by 145 teachers, University professors and academia from West Darfur. The participants will disseminate the information to other members of the community.
Conflict Sensitive Consultative meeting in El Fasher
UNAMID and UNHCR, in partnership with UNICEF and Governmental offices, organized a two-day Conflict Sensitive Consultative meeting for the El Fasher Rural Administrative Unit. The body is comprised of 68 village councils. About 200 participants representing youth, women and the native administration took part in the forum that concluded today in El Fasher, North Darfur. The exercise was designed to enable conditions for durable solutions in the region and to build the capacity of local organizations and communities in contributing to the dialogue processes.
UNAMID patrols
UNAMID military conducted 104 patrols including routine, short-range, long-range, night and humanitarian escort patrols covering 69 villages and IDP camps.
UNAMID police advisors conducted 126 patrols in villages and IDP camps.
