Special Court for Sierra Leone / Update on the Charles Taylor trial
THE HAGUE, Netherlands, September 27, 2010/African Press Organization (APO)/ — Below is what the Chamber decided at today’s status conference on the Charles Taylor trial.
The Judges declined the Prosecution’s request to order expedited responses/replied to pending Defence motions.
The next Status Conference is scheduled for October 22 at 10.00 a.m.
At the Conference the Trial Chamber will:
- hear submissions from the parties on the formal closure of the Defence case.
- finally determine as to whether there will be any more Defence witnesses.
- set a formal date for closure of the Defence case.
- hear submissions on time limits for filing final briefs, for closing arguments, and incidental matters.
