
Italian Minister Frattini taking part in informal meeting of the 5+5 dialogue (Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia)
ROME, Italy, August 31, 2010/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Franco Frattini, will visit Tripoli tomorrow afternoon to take part in an informal 5+5 Dialogue meeting.
The 5+5 Dialogue brings together the countries of the western Mediterranean – with France, Italy, Malta, Portugal and Spain representing the northern shore and Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia the southern. It is an important dimension of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and a useful forum to discuss the main issues affecting the area. Italy currently holds the co-Presidency for the northern shore, along with Tunisia for the southern shore.
