
Noureddine MEZNI appointed as Spokesperson of the African Union Commission’s Chairperson, Dr. Jean PING
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, August 30, 2010/African Press Organization (APO)/ — Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, African Press Organization’s General Secretary, greets Monday the appointment of Noureddine MEZNI as Spokesperson of the African Union Commission’s Chairperson, Dr. Jean PING.
Mr. POMPIGNE-MOGNARD immediately discussed by phone with Mr. Noureddine MEZNI and expressed his “sincere congratulations” to the Spokesperson of the African Union Commission’s Chairperson.
“I am delighted to learn of the appointment of Mr MEZNI. That’s definitively a great choice. I would like to wish him great success in his future endeavors. (…) Mr MEZNI will have the full support of the African Press Organization”, says Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, African Press Organization’s General Secretary.
Noureddine MEZNI has been Spokesman of the Mission of the United Nations in Darfur (UNAMID) from 2004. Former journalist, he served as Director of Public Relations, Communications and Protocol of the Organization of The Islamic Conference (OIC), and as Spokesperson of the Organization of The Islamic Conference.
Tunisian national, Noureddine MEZNI has been Secretary-General of the Higher Communication Council of the Tunisian Republic.
