
South Africa / Council for Scientific and Industrial Research’s (CSIR) hosts its 3rd biennial conference at the convention centre from 31 aug-01 Sept
PRETORIA, South Africa, August 27, 2010/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The Minister of Science and Technology Naledi Pandor, will deliver a keynote address during the opening of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research’s (CSIR) two days Science “Real and Relevant” Conference at the CSIR International Convention Centre from 31 August to 01 September 2010.
The conference is an initiative by the CSIR to engage with Stakeholders on latest trends and innovations in various fields whilst critically assessing the work of the CSIR. The conference affords the CSIR an opportunity to showcase its breakthroughs and help identify new possible areas of collaborations with various Stakeholders. The Stakeholders in attendance include government, academic/research institutions, Science councils and private sector.
The conference is open to the media and four parallel sessions will take place covering topics on Health, Environment, Built Environment, Space, ICT, Renewable Energy amongst others.
