UNAMID celebrates International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers
EL FASHER (DARFUR), Sudan, May 27, 2010/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) will join in celebrating the annual international day of UN peacekeepers at the Mission’s headquarters in El Fasher, North Darfur, from 09:00 to 11:30 hours on Sunday 30 May 2010.
The event will be presided over by the Mission’s Joint Special Representative (JSR), Professor Ibrahim Gambari, in the presence of UNAMID staff, as well as representatives from UN agencies, Sudanese authorities and the media.
