BERLIN, Germany, March 29, 2010/African Press Organization (APO)/ — Westerwelle hopes conflict between Switzerland and Libya will soon be over
Libya has announced plans to lift the current visa restrictionson nationals of Schengen area countries. In this connection Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle issued today (28 March) in Berlin the following statement:
“I am pleased that Libya’s restrictions on EU nationals entering the country are about to be lifted. The German Government hopes the conflict between Switzerland and Libya will soon be over in every respect. That includes also the release of Swiss national Max Göldi at the earliest possible date. In the future, too, Germany is willing to use its good offices to help both sides solve their remaining problems.”
