
Kenya PM Raila Odinga Calls on PM Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana
SINGAPORE, Singapore, January 19, 2010/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya, The Right Honourable Raila Odinga, called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana on 18 Jan 2010. The two Prime Ministers affirmed the warm bilateral ties between Kenya and Singapore. Both Prime Ministers also welcomed the expansion of bilateral trade. PM Odinga proposed a Free Trade Agreement between the East African Community (EAC) and Singapore, a proposal which PM Lee welcomed.
Both leaders also witnessed the signing of an Air Services Agreement and a Memorandum of Understanding on technical cooperation.
PM Odinga is on an official visit to Singapore from 17 to 21 January 2010.
