05 Buckhead Joins Coro Realty Advisors Month of Community Caring / The ‘White Glove’ Apartment Building to Host a Fundraiser to Benefit the Georgia Founded Non-Profit, For the Love of Africa
ATLANTA, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ — This October, the luxury apartment building, 05 Buckhead, will participate in Coro’s month-long program of Community Caring by hosting a fundraising event For the Love of Africa, a student led non-profit organization that is raising funds for Dry Tears.org. DryTears.org is a non-profit foundation started by a metro Atlanta student to raise money to build wells in devastated parts of Africa. The by-invitation-only fundraising evening is scheduled for Thursday, October 22nd at 05 Buckhead and is in conjunction with the Marietta High School students who are spearheading the project.

For the Love of Africa is the vision of four Marietta High School students: Ana Vianei, Leigh Borkowski, Jana French, and Samantha Haisty who decided to follow in the footsteps of another Marietta High School student, Conner Cress, who founded DryTears.org four years ago. The students selected a community in the African country of Burkina Faso where 12,000 residents share only seven wells. The students designed shirts with the image of Burkina Faso. During the month of October the shirts will be sold at 05 Buckhead for $20.00, with the proceeds benefiting DryTears.org. The students’ goal is to raise $ 4,500 — the cost of building one well.
The event at 05 Buckhead is an opportunity to thank the students, teachers, and parents for their efforts, and to bring attention to the project.
