
Deputy chairperson of AUC receives Brenthurst founder
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, May 27, 2009/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), H.E Mr. Erastus Mwencha, on Monday, 25 May 2009, in his office at the headquarters of the AU, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, received the founder of the Brenthurst Foundation, Mr. Nicky Oppenheimer.
Mr. Mwencha and Mr. Oppenheimer stressed, among the various issues they discussed, on the strategies to achieve the reinforcement of Africa’s economic performance, African integration and cooperation between the two parties.
The Brenthurst Foundation was established in April 2005 by the Oppenheimer family. It contributes to a debate around strategies and policies for strengthening Africa’s economic performance. It is also aimed at the creation of an environment conducive to positive economic change.
The Director of Brenthurst Foundation, Dr. Greg Mills and Deputy Director, Mr. Steve Stead participated in the meeting.
