The new building for the Peace and Security Department of the African Union / Invitation for Journalists
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, April 28, 2009/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The African Union (AU) and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany invite journalists to attend the opening of the exhibition of architectural designs for the new building for the Peace and Security Department of the African Union. The German government has agreed to cover the costs of about 20 Million Euro for the construction of the new building.
When: Wednesday, 29 April 2009 11.30 a.m. international time
Where: Africa Union Headquarters, in Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia, Plenary Hall
Commissioner for Peace and Security Mr. Ramtane Lamamra from the African Union Commission and the State Secretary of the German Federal Foreign Office Mr. Peter Ammon will open the exhibition. German Ambassadors from African countries, the African Union Peace & Security Council as well as AU Ambassadors will participate in the opening of the exhibition.
