Meeting on the ECOWAS agricultural and food security policy / December, 9th

 

PARIS, France, December 3, 2008/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The president of the Commission of ECOWAS and the French presidency of the European Union, in agreement with the European Commission and the World Bank, have decided to launch a political dialogue on the implementation of the regional agricultural policy of ECOWAS (ECOWAP). The Forum will offer an opportunity for the region and the international community to share a common vision on agricultural and food issues in Western Africa, the best way to deal with them, and to put forward both an agenda and a method for further collaboration between Western Africa and the international community.
