Djibouti / African Union delegation will visit Djibouti from 5 to 9 June 2008

DJIBOUTI, Djibouti, June 5, 2008/African Press Organization (APO)/ — As part of the follow-up of the Communique on the relations between the

Republic of Djibouti and the State of Eritrea adopted by the 125th meeting of the

Peace and Security Council (PSC) held on 2nd
May 2008, a mission of the

Commission led by Ambassador Pierre Yere and comprising AU staff and other

African experts will visit Djibouti from 5 to 9 June 2008, to consult with the relevant

Djiboutian authorities and assess the situation.

 

The mission is also mandated to visit Eritrea. This visit will take place as soon as its modalities are agreed upon
