Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Qin Gang’s Remarks on the Attacks Launched by Anti-Government Military Forces in the Darfur Region of Sudan against the Sudanese Capital Khartoum

Recently, anti-government military forces in the Darfur region of Sudan launched attacks against the Sudanese Capital Khartoum, causing civilian casualties, to which China expresses condemnation. We hope the anti-government military forces in the Darfur region of Sudan can join the political process as soon as possible, resume negotiation with the Sudanese Government and reach a comprehensive peace agreement on the Darfur region at an early date so as to bring peace, stability and development to the Darfur region.
